Abstract: The application environment of side transmission parts of an armored vehicle is fierce, and the traditional electric sensor is difficult to use. In this paper, an optical fiber ring acoustic emission sensor is used to detect the acoustic emission signal of the side transmission gear of an armored vehicle during operation, and the resonance demodulation algorithm is used to find out the abnormal fault frequency caused by abnormal meshing impact during operation. In the experiment, an intact gear ring and a surface worn gear ring are set as the comparison. The fault frequency can be detected on the spectrum after resonance demodulation of the fault gear ring, which is different from the intact gear ring. The fault frequency detection of armored vehicle side transmission based on an optical fiber ring can resist electromagnetic interference and has small added mass. It can adapt to the complex and harsh measurement environment of a gearbox, and has certain application value.
