Research progress of bionic flapping wing micro aircraft

Abstract:	With the development of bionics and micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) in recent years, the research on bionic flapping wing micro aircraft has made new progress, which has a wide application prospect in military and civil applications. This paper firstly introduces the high lift mechanism of flapping wing flight of insects.Then, the recent research achievements of bionic flapping wing micro aircraft are reviewed.The new prototype of bionic flapping wing micro aircraft of different driving modes is introduced, and the related typical micro machining technology is also discussed. Finally, the problems concerning the development of the micro aircraft are summarized, and their future development trend and application fields are predicted and prospected.
