Analysis of the influence of pulse thrust interference on the attitude of a fin stabilized projectile at a low spin speed

Abstract: In order to figure out the influence of strong pulse thrust interference on projectile attitude and trajectory correction, this paper theoretically derives the formulas of projectile angular motion change and corrected drop point deviation under strong impulse thrust interference for a certain fin stabilized projectile at a low spin speed based on limited and short time pulse thrust trajectory correction scheme. The correction characteristics of single pulse correction force is analyzed. Combined with the simulation, the effects of single and continuous pulse thrust correction on the projectile rotation angular velocity, the duration and strength of the correction force, the correction phase angle, the correction start time and the installation axial eccentricity on the correction effect are analyzed. The results of the analysis provide theoretical and numerical reference for the design of parameters of the correction mechanism.
