Abstract: The performance study of propulsion propellers of air cushion landing craft has important significance to the overall design and power device selection of this kind of craft. Compared with a common single propeller, a coaxial reverse propeller can realize the advantages of torque leveling, thrust coefficient increase and propeller efficiency. In addition, different positions of initial installation angles between the front and rear paddles with the same number of blades also have a significant impact on aerodynamic performance. As the different instantaneous relative positions of the side edge of the front paddles and the leading edge of the rear paddles lead to the difference in mutual constraints of the flow field between the front and rear paddles and the difference in the degree of energy consumption, the propulsion efficiency of the opposite paddles is significantly different. The numerical simulation results of STAR CCM+ and Fluent roughly agree with the test values, which further verifies the reliability of CFD method on the performance prediction of coaxial reverse propellers of air cushion landing craft.
