Design and realization of the speed control system for rail remote target carriers

Abstract: By using CAN bus to control the target speed of an engine and by adopting a scheme of controlling the transmission ratio of the transmission system through a pump driven hydraulic motor, this paper designs a rail remote control speed control system for target carriers, which solves the relatively complicated engineering problems of engine and transmission ratio control in the previous target carrier system. Meanwhile, to meet the performance requirements of short acceleration, short braking distances and a high speed stability accuracy, a closed loop speed control method based on engine speed and pump of target speed control as well as motor displacement is proposed. The test results show that the designed speed control system is stable, reliable, intelligent and convenient. The target speed control method can realize acceleration, braking and speed stability performance of the system, and reach the expected performance requirements.
