Abstract: In order to study the combat effectiveness and optimization of the short range air defense system with multi input and nonlinear characteristics, this paper builds an operational simulation model of the general short range air defense system in the Anylogic software environment based on the ABMS theory. A method of operational effectiveness evaluation and optimization of the general short range air defense weapon system based on the orthogonal experimental design commonly used in the field of natural sciences is proposed, which solves the problems of insufficient dynamic evaluation ability of conventional evaluation methods and large calculation amount of simulation platform methods. Taking the air defense system combined with missiles and guns in the plain area as an example, the effectiveness evaluation BPNN is trained through the data obtained by the orthogonal test method, and it is used as the objective function of the optimization algorithm. The optimal input decision vector of the simulation model is obtained by the NSGA Ⅱ algorithm, and the result is close to the optimal solution obtained through the orthogonal test analysis. The simulation experiment shows that the evaluation system established by combining ABMS with the orthogonal tests not only has the dynamic evaluation ability, but also obtains the optimal decision vector of the evaluation system at a fast analysis speed, which provides reasonable suggestions for the air defense operation.
