Review on methodologies of reliability evaluation for CNC machine tools

Abstract: The reliability technology of CNC machine tools is a key common technology that restricts the efficient development of the machine tool industry. Its reliability assessment is the premise of cost control, quality improvement and health management of CNC machine tools. Focusing on the problem of inaccurate reliability assessment results of CNC machine tools, this paper analyzes and summarizes the research status of reliability evaluation methods of CNC machine tools at home and abroad from four perspectives, including the statistics of CNC machine tool failure time data, the diversity of performance degradation data, the validity of condition monitoring data and the uncertainty of machine tool data recognition. The meta action theory is used to establish the performance degradation model and reliability evaluation model of the meta action unit of CNC machine tools, and, based on the big data, the relationship between the data and reliability of each meta action unit is obtained. In this way, the reliability of the unit is evaluated and predicted in real time, and then the machine tool is accurately evaluated, which makes a prospect for the follow up research in this field.
