In order to obtain the penetration resistance of the spaced armor composed of cermet composite elements, this paper carries out penetration tests and simulation study based on a large caliber shaped charge of 180 mm. By analyzing the destruction of the target plate and the interaction between the jet and the target plate in simulation, the interference mechanism of the composite armor on the jet is revealed. The equivalent target thickness of the composite armor at different angles is obtained by using the equivalent criterion of residual penetration. The results show that, under the condition of oblique penetration, the metal ceramic composite elements can weaken the penetration ability of the jet by applying the asymmetric force to the jet head and by using the hole wall to form cutting. At the same time, the calculation results of protection coefficient show that, under the condition of 45° angle, the interval armor composed of cermet composite elements has good anti elastic properties, which can reach 1/4 of the maximum penetration capacity of shaped charge used in tests. |
