Abstract: Aiming at the structural strength and stability of the typical large aspect ratio projectile SDB (small diameter bomb) when penetrating concrete targets, based on the cavity expansion resistance model, the control requirements of limit dimensionless thickness of projectile, critical oblique angle and attacking angle under different striking conditions are given.Based on compression bending coupling yielding conditions, the influence of targeting velocity, targeting posture and dimensionless thickness of projectiles on the plastic bending instability of the projectile structure are studied. The control conditions for the coupling between the structural parameters (aspect ratio, dimensionless thickness of projectiles), the parameters of the targeting state (targeting velocity and targeting posture) and the strength of the projectile material are obtained under the condition to ensure the structural stability of the projectile. Considering the influence of the large aspect ratio on the vibration response of the projectile structure, the inherent frequency and the modal pattern of the projectile structure are obtained through the finite element modal analysis and harmonic response, and the vibration response characteristics of the projectile structure are revealed. The research content and results provide ideas and basis for the structural design, capability assessment and parameter control of the projectile and target intersection of large aspect ratio projectile.
