Foreign magnetic minesweeper equipment and technology development

Abstract: Based on the development status of foreign magnetic minesweeping tools and the magnetic source types of magnetic minesweeping tools, three types of magnetic minesweeping tools (permanent magnet, solenoid, and electrode) were studied. The development status of various types of magnetic minesweeping equipment and magnetic minesweeping tool technologies were compared and analyzed. Based on the technical system, magnetic field source, magnetic field generation mechanism, simulation mode and other elements of magnetic minesweeping tools, multiple equivalent magnetic field mathematical models have been proposed, including magnetic dipole, time harmonic magnetic dipole, magnetic quadrupole, finite length current carrying straight wire, current carrying coil, finite length hollow solenoid, finite length solenoid with iron core, rotating ellipsoid, point electrode, line electrode, electric dipole, time harmonic electric dipole, and point current source. We compared and analyzed the magnetic field mathematical models of various types of magnetic minesweepers, and qualitatively analyzed the simulation accuracy of different magnetic minesweepers on ship magnetic fields. The research results indicate that the research on magnetic source technology of magnetic minesweeping tools is still focused on several categories, such as permanent magnet, solenoid, and electrode. The research direction is mostly in the combination of linear arrays for a single type of magnetic source and the integration of different magnetic sources. Linear array magnetic minesweeping tools and electrode type magnetic minesweeping tools are currently the mainstream directions. The research results provide a reference basis for the magnetic field modeling, development direction, and anti magnetic minesweeping.
