Abstract: On the premise of the pressure equilibrium of the explosive at the moment of ignition, the minimum pressure relief hole area which only produces combustion reaction after ignition of the shaped energy transfer tube is calculated. On this basis, the response characteristics of the shaped energy transfer squib with different sizes of pressure relief structures in the slow and fast combustion environments are analyzed. On the basis of the three dimensional axisymmetric combustion calculation model, Fluent is used to numerically simulate the slow combustion response characteristics of different sizes of pressure relief holes. In order to study the effect of shaped energy transfer squib with pressure relief hole on the detonation power performance, detonation experiments were carried out on three shaped energy transfer squibs with different sizes of pressure relief holes. Considering comprehensively, the design of the pressure relief hole of this type of shaped energy squib is 7 mm, and the research results have certain guiding significance for the structural design of mine insensitive fuzes.
