Abstract: In order to study the influence of aluminum powder and ammonium chloride (AP) content on the explosive energy release of aluminum explosive in semi closed environment, the explosion experiment of six different compound explosives in semi closed tank was carried out, and the expansion process and shock wave parameters of explosion ball were obtained using high speed camera and pressure sensor. The experimental results show that the increase of aluminum powder and AP content can enhance the post combustion process of aluminum powder during the expansion stage of fireball, thus increasing the high temperature duration of fireball and the peak value of thermal flow density. The aluminum powder and ammonium chloride (AP) do not contribute to the overpressure at the near end point of the pipeline. Aluminum powder and ammonium chloride (AP) mainly affect the impact of measuring point near the pipeline. Due to the end of the combustion process after aluminum powder, it does not contribute to the impulse at the remote measuring point.
