Abstract: In the problem of target threat assessment, in order to solve the shortcomings of possible subjective decision making errors in the selection of weights of various characteristics of the target, an air target threat assessment method based on the random multi weight TOPSIS method is proposed. This paper determines the weights between various features based on the analytic hierarchy process, extracts features of target characteristics that are difficult to quantitatively measure, and evaluates the threat of air targets based on the random multi weighted TOPSIS method. The simulation results show that the threat assessment ranking of the random multi weighted TOPSIS method is consistent with the AHP and TOPSIS methods, but the uncertainty range of each target’s threat degree is given. The lowest uncertainty range value in the experiment is 0.08% and the highest is 3.78%. Combat commanders can obtain more reference information through the threat uncertainty range proposed in this article.
