Abstract: Aiming at the practical problems of the response and damage effect of the electronic equipment in the radar shelter under high power microwave irradiation, the radiation simulation analysis is carried out by establishing the radar shelter and the cable models in the shelter. The analysis results show that when high power microwave signals enter the shelter, the shelter plays a certain filtering role, which is similar to band pass filter. The reflection of the radar shelter and the equipment in the shelter will affect the field intensity distribution and polarization in the shelter, resulting in uneven distribution of the electric field in the shelter and anisotropy decreased, which is different from that in the reverberation chamber. The signal distribution and transmission characteristics in the shelter are calculated by simulation. The voltage of cable coupled signal in the shelter is basically at the same magnitude, and the mainly influence of UWB HPM irradiation is disturbing. In view of the above effects, the corresponding reinforcement measures are put forward, which can provide theoretical support for the rear door protection reinforcement of radar under the attack of high power microwave weapons.
