| Abstract: | Target damage assessment is an indispensable part of modern warfare, which can know the degree of damage to the target and provide guidance information for the implementation of the next mission. With the rapid development of computer technology, Image based target damage assessment is emerging and developing rapidly, has produced many excellent algorithms and models, this method compared with the manual of the traditional method has more security and high efficiency. In this paper, the research status of image based target damage assessment is introduced, and the challenges of target damage assessment are discussed. At the same time, the image based damage assessment methods are classified according to the source of the image. The categories are subdivided according to the image type and the method used, and the implementation methods, advantages and disadvantages of various methods are introduced. Finally, the development of image based damage assessment is prospected. |
