Abstract: |
The type of sonars can be identified by analyzing the type and parameters of pulse signal received by passive sonar, aiding to identify the type of underwater sound targets by which sonars are carried. However, the sonar pulse signal usually distorts. This phenomenon is insufficiently understood by sonar personnel, which affects the accurate analysis of the pulse signal parameters and the correct judgment of the pulse type. In order to assist identification of underwater acoustic targets, the reason why signal distortion arises is explained theoretically through the whole process of transmitting, propagating, receiving and signal processing. How to analyze distortion pulse is summarized and the validity is tested by analyzing the representative distortion pulse. |
