Abstract: In order to solve the problem of safety forecast of amphibious vehicle sailing on water under high sea condition, based on the three dimensional geometric model of an amphibious vehicle, a numerical simulation model of amphibious vehicle’s multi body sports performance on water was established by means of computational fluid dynamics, overlapping grid technology and numerical wave generation technology. Based on this model, the dynamic acceleration dynamic performance of the amphibious vehicle under different sea conditions was numerically simulated, and the vehicle speed, pitch, heave motion and wave resistance performance during dynamic acceleration were predicted and analyzed. The accuracy of the simulation model was verified by means of towing model test and real vehicle hydrostatic test. The results show that the simulation analysis results are agree with the results of towing mode testandhydrostatic test, and the simulation accuracy of the model is high. The model can predict the dynamic acceleration dynamics and wave resistance performance of amphibious vehicles under different sea conditions, and provide an effective technical way for further research on the safety of amphibious vehicles on water navigation.
