Abstract: Using ZIF 67 and nickel nitrate as raw materials, hollow and urchin like Ni Co LDH samples were prepared by a hydrothermal method. The results showed that the specific capacity of the hollow Ni Co LDH reached as high as 1 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g. Moreover, tests on rate performance and cycling performance demonstrated that the hollow Ni Co LDH exhibited relatively better electrochemical performance. Compared to the urchin like microstructure, this type of structure enables the efficient assembly of capacitors in an asymmetric form, achieving a specific capacity of 283.47 F/g at a current density level of 1 A/g, and an energy density of 88.58 Wh/kg at a power density condition of 749.97 W/kg, which is significantly higher than other Ni based LDH asymmetric capacitive components. Therefore, the assembled asymmetric capacitor exhibits high energy density under specific conditions.
