Due to the excellent performance, titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace applications, while the problem of significant springback after forming at room temperature needs to be solved urgently. In this paper, the springback of TC4 titanium alloy sheet by quasi static forming and impact hydroforming with high strain rate at room temperature is researched. Two kinds of springback parts forming including semiglobe drawing and lath bending are designed, and the springback of TC4 titanium alloy sheet is systematically researched. The results show that the springback of impact hydroforming with high strain rate is much smaller than that of quasi static forming, both in semiglobe drawing and lath bending. Compared with quasi static forming, impact hydroforming with high strain rate can effectively inhibit the springback of TC4 titanium alloy sheet at room temperature conditions. With the impact speed continues to increase to a certain value, the bending of lath shows negative springback, while springback of semiglobe drawing tends to stabilize. |
