Research on dispersion design of chaff jamming bomb based on gas power

Abstract: In order to improve the radar cross section (RCS) of a certain type of airborne chaff jamming bomb and change the shape of chaff cloud,a projectile structure based on gas power for chaff jamming materialdispersion is designed.The shaping time of chaff cloudcan be shortened and thedispersion of approximate ellipsoidcan be realized by usingthe principle of gas piston and the instantaneous effect of the flow field at the mouth of the shell when the interference load is emitted.By using the MATLAB software, the dispersion morphology and motion characteristics of chaff jamming material at different timesare simulated and analyzed.The results of dynamic emission test verification and numerical simulation of chaff cloud morphology were compared and analyzed. The experimental results were basically consistent with the numerical simulation results.Based on the dispersion morphology of chaff cloud, the RCS of chaff jamming material is measured by using the test radar. According to the test results, the shooting interval and suppression ratio of chaff jamming bomb are analyzed, which provides a certain reference for the design and efficiency use of chaff jamming bomb.
